Welcome to my Practice
What is integrative psychotherapy? It is an approach that considers all aspects of you – inner and outer. This approach involves traditional psychotherapy and complementary therapies such as mindfulness and meditation to promote personal healing and integration at all levels: social, physical, mental, and spiritual. My practice goal is to help you feel more integrated, discover and grow your hidden strengths and assets, and move through your life with grace and ease. An essential part of my clinical and research work is to understand how the brain and body are connected. The ways our bodies respond to events and feelings are just as important as how we perceive them. Therefore, in addition to traditional talk therapy, I work with you to become mindful of the non-verbal dimensions of your experience and learn to use body-awareness as a tool that can help guide your self-exploration journey.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session when I see a therapist?
An initial 30-minute phone consultation is free.
The purpose is for both you and me to assess if therapy and my approach to therapy is a good fit for your needs. In the event that it is not, I will seek to provide you with a referral to another therapist in the area who could better serve your needs.
Consistency is one of the cornerstones of therapy and is essential for effective treatment. In addition to the benefits of regular sessions, appointment scheduling involves the reservation of time that is specifically held for you. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Exceptions need to be discussed in person and in advance. I will be happy to explain the details of my reschedule and make-up policy during the initial consultation.
Can I use my insurance and what are your rates ?
Under the supervision of Cornerstone Herkimer LLC, I primarily accept Fidelis insurance.
I also accept out of network insurances.
Rates vary from $30 to $150.
